general rules, 1. Respect. This is big. Everyone knows the age-old saying "treat others how you would like to be treated". You don't necessarily have to like everyone in the game [though I hope everyone gets along well] but remain respectful and civil. We are here to have fun, and we won't tolerate OOC drama. If there is a problem you have with another roleplayer, contact any of the moderators. There will be warnings given before you ever have to worry about being banned. We will discuss and make sure everything is cleared up and understood.
2. Keep explicit content out of ANYTHING that is OOC. Please! We will have some underage roleplayers on here.
3. We would prefer it if you were a minimum of 16 years old. There will be explicit content IN CHARACTER. Graphic violence, sex, drug use, criminal activity, and character death will be very frequent occurrences. note: though we allow adult content, you cannot smut with a minor.
4. OOC chatter should go into the General forum, and nowhere else. We will have a C-box for everyone to chat in.
5. Any Out of Character racial, religious, sexist or sexual orientated derogatory comments will not be tolerated. There will be no warnings, you will be immediately banned if you are guilty of slandering any of the members, characters, or even anything off the boards. Zero-toleration policy for this.
6. When it comes to post appearance we are very lenient. You can use a template with images and tagging, you can just post them with a simpler one as I have with these rules, or not use any templates at all. We do not care. All we ask is that it is neat, non-flashy fonts that make reading difficult and images that are formatted and don't stretch the page.

in character rules, 1. Please let us know when you are going to be gone for more than two weeks. If you're grounded and can't warn us, that's okay. Just get back on when your restriction is over and let us know. Message a mod for a hiatus that way we don't retire your character. We would like you to stick around, but if you have to leave due to issues with activity we understand. 2. If you do decide/need to leave the roleplay, messaging us helps make things easier. It also makes it easier to welcome you back if you decide to return in the future. Commitment is important, but above all we admire responsibility and courtesy. By no means are you stuck here, but it does make things a bit difficult for the Mods and other players if you decide to simply vanish. note: if your account is made inactive and you wish to rejoin the roleplay after a long absence you can always shoot a staff member a message so we can make your account active and put your character bio back in the correct board. 3. This is a Semi-Literate to Literate role play. Posts here should be at least two or three paragraphs long, minimum, and your grammar must be decent. All posts should be written in Third-person. Please at least attempt to maintain pace with whoever you are roleplaying with (for example, if someone posts 600 words for you, try to scrape up to at least 400 words for them-- giving the bare minimum to someone who is giving you way more is simply rude.) Now, we understand you lose muse so we won't be cracking down on you if you put up a few one paragraph responses. We understand that entirely, just adhere to keeping good grammar and avoiding one/two liners. 4. Due to the nature of this roleplay, IC violence and sexual content and drug use is not banned, but be respectful to those who wish to not view it. Tag it. Put a note at the top of your reply in clear, noticeable font if there is any explicit content. Tagging goes for anything that deals with any In Character derogatory remarks as well. Anything will do, i.e.: WARNING: CONTENT, or just stating 'CW: CONTENT'. Such as excessive violence, I'd add 'CW: EXCESSIVE VIOLENCE'. 5. IC drama is welcomed, but don't take it personally. We don't allow any OOC drama, but In Character there will be tension. While it is likely characters will express intolerance to people, be tactful. You all know the limits, and if you become excessive expect a warning. 6. A big one that needs to be followed to a T: no god-moding. What is this, you may ask? Taking control of someone else's character without their permission. Contact the roleplayer you are threading with if you are unsure about crossing a line. Communication is key. Do not kill someone's character unless they have given you permission. Do not move someone's character, do not attack or wound, anything! Give the other person freedom to react and respond without being controlled. 7. Multiple people in one thread is allowed, but try to follow a general posting order. If you don't mind being skipped, let your fellow roleplayers know, but don't leave someone pages behind. Ask before jumping into a thread that is beyond the first page, just to be respectful of the current roleplay going on. 8. Check open topics before creating your own, and don't create too many opens. You are also welcome to take on as many topics as you want, but don't abandon some that are active and incomplete for the sake of others. Every thread you enter becomes your responsibility to keep up with. 9. We follow a very general timeline. You do not have to date everything, just be reasonable. The current season and time of year now applies to the roleplay. 10. Go through major plot ideas with the mods first. This includes character death, pregnancies, turning a character into a Howler, etc. It's just to avoid excessive shifting and to make sure the steps that lead to these are implemented. We will rarely say no to these requests, it's just easier to keep from unraveling too much chaos all at one and keeping the roleplay balanced.

other rules, 1. Register your account in all caps, first & last! Avatar dimensions are 250x400. Icons are fine at any size as long as they can be reformatted to 100x100 [i.e. 200x200, 450x450, etc].
2. We are an OC-based site, and any canon characters will be NPCs. If you're at a loss for inspiration there surely will be wanted connections to be filled that you can look into. There are certain restrictions based on your species of choice for your character, but your entire biography is up to you. The history and personality are all yours, but once the biography is accepted and set, stay in character and develop them in character.
3. You can post an unfinished application in the unfinished section, that is perfectly fine. We just ask that when you do finish it you add another post in that thread stating it is finished. Staff will be checking it over but we may forget one day and the notification helps us stay on top of it.
4. When it comes to creating a character, we like for you to be be as unique as you want. Not so much so your character begins to suffer from "Mary/Gary-sue syndrome", of course, but diversity in any which way possible is important. There are no bans on anything. We urge for people from all walks of life to be represented.
5. Under the circumstance you choose a specific type of character that doesn't fall along the lines of what you are well experienced with [any form of identity, traditions, religions, ect.] pleasepleasePLEASE do your research. We are not against you playing something that you personally have no experience with, but accuracy and actively touching upon it is important.
6. We are limiting that you start with two characters. Based on your activity in the beginning, we will decide if you can take on a third and a fourth. The cap is on four at the moment, but that may be subject to change in the future. The more the merrier, after all.
7. All characters are required to have a face claim. You may use real people, use anime or cartoons. Use the face claims page before being accepted to make sure your face claim isn't taken! We don't have any restrictions: youtubers, musicians, models, etc are valid choices. If you're unsure about something or someone, PM a staff member. We don’t base your application off of your face claim choice, we just ask that you choose someone with enough resources for graphics for your own use. If you choose an underused face claim with no resources but are okay with that then by all means, go for it!
8. Stay true to the face claims personal traits when creating a character. Such as, if a face claim is nonbinary, do not make your character cis. If your face claim is a certain ethnicity, don't neglect that part of them or change it even if they are passing for a different ethnicity.
9. In the event your application is denied do not worry! It is likely we just saw a flaw that contradicts the site lore, or we don't feel you expanded enough. No matter the case, our reasons will be fixable and we are both willing to offer constructive criticism and guide you to the changes needed. We are very open minded about applications and we aren't elitists who will snub you for not reaching some unattainable standards. We will not place applications into the denied folder unless they were never finished and abandoned, or if the changes we request aren't made.
